Barcelona make it nine wins from nine with 39 goals scored

The champions are five clear of Atlético Madrid after nine rounds. Mbappé, Lamine Yamal and Rayo’s Sergio Camello share the scoring lead on seven.

The numbers frame it: after the opening rounds the La Liga is as tight at the top as it has been in years, and every result shifts the picture.

What happens next is the interesting part. Supporters will want to see whether this becomes a pattern or a footnote, and the next fixture is the first real test of that.

As ever, the conversation continues in the supporters room, where the mood after full time tends to be a better barometer than any table.
